working on this project as a sprint opened me to learning more on what it takes to compress weeks of designing into 7 days. i read Refactoring UI, read a couple of articles on The Interaction Design Foundation, and watched Abstract: Art of Design, a Netflix, 2 seasons, design documentary.
Another challenge is getting people to share their experiences. for this i reached out to a couple of persons whom i already knew to share their stories. i also build on the raw data we have been acquiring from the public through a google form. and this made me realised that 1 in 10 social media users have either been scammed or about to be scammed by another person posing as a seller on social media.
and by extension, having a platform whereby they can seamlessly report scams is germane as a panacea to the problem. it should be noted that apart from this application, the organisation’s website, www.419.report, offers a report scam services for users who might not be interested in the app.
